Thanks to Laurel in our accounting dept for the suggestion. Fashion brand KENZO has been teasing some sort of marketing debut for KENZO World, a new fragrance created by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon.
KENZO WORLD AD SERIES
I can't do it justice by describing it, you'll just have to watch it. There is a good reason why so many people are talking about video campaign for the new feminine fragrance coming from French fashion house Kenzo simply named Kenzo World.The star of the advertisement is extremely talented young dancer and actress (star of critically acclaimed TV series The Leftovers) Margaret Qualley. The short film, while delightfully fun to watch as its own unique little slice of art, is ostensibly a commercial for the new Kenzo fragrance, but that’s something that doesn’t become readily. In the end, she dives through a giant eye made of flowers – which turns out to be part of the perfume brand logo. The Spike Jonze-directed advert for the Kenzo World perfume was the most cited piece, as people pointed out the similarities between Swift’s actions and that of the advert’s star, Margaret. Her face starts contorting to the music and suddenly she begins this complex, weird dance through the empty arts center.
After taking a deep breath a driving, primal beat of music starts. Not able to take it any more, she excuses herself and leaves the room. It features a socialite young woman at some charity gala where the speaker is droning on in a blah-blah way that almost becomes the way adult voices are handled in Peanuts cartoons – but with less character. Yet, on a raw human emotional level you'll find yourself relating to the premise – stuck in a boring situation you just want to break out of and go a little berserk. On one level, you'll be wondering what the heck is going on and where is this going.

But I wanna talk one specific ad that I thing does a great job selling its product in a unique way (This topic is going to die lol) Some products more than others really go the distance to sell it to you. I know Era loves long rambling posts from one of its many resident artists. Perfume ads seem to compete on a regular basis to see who can come up with the most bizarre commercials. 1 Video at the bottom: I got an intro to do.
